CBC: Reference interest rate το prevent usury at 8.93%

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has calculated the base interest rate το to prevent usury at 8.93%.

“The Central Bank of Cyprus, exercising its powers under article 314A of the Cyprus Penal Code, ch. 154 with subsequent changes, calculated in accordance with the provisions of this article the base interest rate in the amount of 8.93%,” the CBC said in a statement.
