The number of building permits issued in the first two months of 2024 recorded a 13% increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to the Cyprus Statistics Service, the number of building permits issued by municipal and district authorities in February 2024 amounted to 706.
The total cost of these permits reached 248.9 million euros, and the total area is 202.6 thousand square meters. These building permits provide for the construction of 919 residential units.
Between January and February 2024, 1,293 building permits were issued, compared with 1,143 permits in the corresponding period the previous year, representing an increase of 13.1%.
The total cost of these permits increased by 16.9% and the total area by 14.3%. The number of residential real estate units increased by 13.4%.
