The number of building permits issued in Cyprus decreased by 0.5% year-on-year in January 2024, data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service ( Cystat ) shows .
The total value of permits issued decreased by 8.3%, while the total area of planned properties decreased by 2.4%, and the number of residential properties decreased by 11.1%.
The number of construction permits issued by municipal authorities and regional administrations reached 587 in January 2024. The total value of these licenses reached 221.3 million euros, and the total area is 198.2 thousand square meters.
According to Cystat , the number of building permits amounted to 587, the total value of which reached 221.3 million euros, and their total area – 198.2 thousand square meters. Based on these permits, 834 residential real estate units are planned to be built.
