Analyzing the plans for the historic hotel and its new image, bbf development director Andreas Siamtanis explains that the goal is to once again make Berengaria’s reputation as a “hotel of kings” a reality.

What is the significance of the revival of the legendary Berengaria Hotel and why is it expected to improve the image of Prodromos and the Troodos region in general?
The revival of the legendary Berengaria Hotel is of paramount and vital importance not only for the Prodromos area, but for the entire Troodos.
With its re-opening, the hotel will return to its former glory, which has existed in the area since the 1930s, when it first opened, and has hosted many guests, including kings and presidents of states.
New look
This is a historic hotel that is legendary. How will it re-introduce itself to its visitors, and what characteristics will it retain from its identity?
The whole project will consist of a historic hotel, where it will retain its old appearance, but at the same time, will be modernized inside. This will be done with new health and hotel areas; with the addition of new premises. It will be a full-fledged hotel of high standards.
In the rest of the wooded area, a few independent villas, maisonettes and studios will be sparsely scattered throughout the residential development.
How is the project progressing and what are the goals/expectations of bbf:?
Work is being completed to strengthen the building to prevent its collapse. A second phase of underwriting will follow in the coming months.
In terms of planning, the company has prepared and submitted planning permission for the hotel as well as the residential development around it.
