PwC Cyprus said on Monday that international investment is critical to the Cypriot economy, which was highlighted during the Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards.
The event took place on Friday at the Park Lane Hotel in Limassol. This was the ninth consecutive year that PwC Cyprus hosted the annual Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards event. At the event, a number of international companies and famous personalities received awards for their contribution to the Cypriot economy.
Moreover, the company explained that this event is intended to highlight and recognize the contribution of international investors and businesses that have chosen to work and trust Cyprus.
“We firmly believe that attracting foreign investment is one of the key factors for economic growth, especially in times of intense international competition and serious problems,” President Nikos Anastasiades said in his speech.
The President also stated that improving the business environment remains one of the government’s top priorities.
Philippos Soseilos, CEO of PwC Cyprus, together with Kyriakos Kokkinos, Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, presented the ECCOMBX award.
“We passionately share the Vision 2035 for Cyprus to become one of the best countries in the world to live, work and do business, which essentially means that Cyprus will also be one of the best countries to invest in,” Soseilos said.
“Despite unprecedented global challenges, we believe that a brighter future is possible for those who believe in it,” he added.
BrainRocket, CVC, ECOMMBX, Murex, SYKES (part of Sitel Group), TheSoul Publishing and Medicover received awards during this year’s event.
