Two new projects by architecture firm Armeftis Partners in Athens are in the process of being licensed. The first concerns a modern residential building located in Varkiza, a seaside suburb of the Greek capital, which is a well-known tourist resort. In the neighboring area, namely in Voula, just a few minutes walk from the large Ellenic complex, the second project is located.
The Varkiza project consists of five rooftop floors, including eight apartments and a host of amenities such as a rooftop and swimming pool, underground parking with utility rooms and a common area with a home cinema, sauna and gym.
The design of the building stands out thanks to the division of volumes to create privacy, natural ventilation and the penetration of natural light into the apartments. The special cuts in the slab are designed to create a double height for placing green elements on the surface of open exteriors towards the central side of the site. Finally, the project stands out for its respect for the existing environment, as the 15 pine trees located on the site will be preserved, evoking the classic suburban landscape of Attica.
The residential complex in Voula is located in the central part of the area, just five minutes from the beach of Athens. It consists of five floors containing four apartments, each of which includes private pools, green areas and utility rooms. The project is characterized by the division of volumes along the vertical axis and the placement of the central core in the middle of the building in order to better use the space of the apartments, while satisfying all the needs of the owners. At the same time, large cantilevers with curved edges were designed to encircle the building on each floor, thus creating a separate area of privacy for each apartment.
Recall that the expansion of Armeftis Partners in Athens ended about a year ago with the opening of an office in Kolonaki. Giannis Armeutis, founder of the architectural firm, said: “The response from the Greek market has been particularly strong. Our office strives to combine innovative architectural design and sustainable development with the necessary modern amenities, providing building users with quality and comfortable living.”
