The Municipality of Nicosia informs the public that from Tuesday, August 29, 2023 until the end of October 2023, the section of Gera Street between Stassinou Avenue and Stassandrou Street will be closed to traffic in connection with the execution of works within the Project “Appropriate Construction of Various Streets in Nicosia – Contract 21 – Tripiotis.
In particular, infrastructure reconstruction works (rainwater drainage, sewerage, utilities), road reconstruction works (construction of new sidewalks and reconstruction of the road surface), as well as the introduction of new traffic rules with improved rules for street parking spaces will be carried out.
Traffic from Stasinou Street to Stasandrou Street will be carried out through Bubulinas and Elektras Streets, as indicated in the plan, while the affected facilities on Geras Street will have access from Annis Street Komninis.
The Municipality understands the difficulties and inconveniences that may arise and hopes for the cooperation of the public to complete the work faster and better for the benefit of the area. The municipality makes every effort to cause as little disturbance as possible to residents and visitors to the area. The municipality also urges drivers to be careful and obey traffic signals.
