According to the Statistics Service, the construction production index reached 186.29 units in the third quarter of 2023, recording an increase of 7.9% compared to the third quarter of 2022.
By project type, the third quarter of 2023 saw a 9.4% increase in building production rates and a slight 0.3% decrease in civil engineering project production rates compared to the corresponding quarter in 2022.
The construction product price index reached 137.27 units in the third quarter of 2023 (2015 base = 100.00), an increase of 1.7% compared to the second quarter of 2023. Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the index increased by 6.0%. By project type, the third quarter of 2023 saw a 1.2% increase in buildings and a 24.3% increase in civil engineering projects compared to the corresponding quarter in 2022.
