In November 2024, the number of sales on the Cyprus property market increased by 9%, amounting to 1,506 transactions, compared to 1,386 in November 2023. From January to November 2024, 14,458 transactions were registered, an increase of 2% compared to the same period in 2023 (14,211 transactions).
Key changes by region in Cyprus
Limassol continues to lead the way in terms of property transactions. In November 2024, there were 511 sales, up 19% from 429 in November 2023. However, in the first 11 months of 2024, the number of transactions in Limassol decreased slightly (by 1%), reaching 4,604 compared to 4,654 in 2023.
In Nicosia, 322 sales were recorded in November 2024, an increase of 15% compared to 279 transactions in November 2023. Overall, between January and November 2024, the number of transactions in Nicosia increased by 18%, reaching 3,212, compared to 2,730 transactions in the same period in 2023.
Larnaca has shown stability in the property market, with sales increasing by 1% in November 2024. 312 properties were sold that month, compared to 308 transactions in November 2023. In the first 11 months of 2024, Larnaca recorded 3,093 sales, up 6% compared to 2,920 transactions in 2023.
Paphos recorded a 3% decrease in sales in November 2024 (287 transactions vs. 297 in November 2023). Overall, for the period January to November 2024, Paphos recorded a decrease of 11 % , from 3,175 transactions in 2023 to 2,841 transactions in 2024.
IN Famagusta remained fairly stable, with a slight increase of 1% in the number of transactions in November 2024. There were 74 sales in that month, down from 73 in November 2023. However , the area saw a 3% decline in sales in the first 11 months of 2024, down from 732 transactions in 2023 to 708 transactions in 2024.
