Amazon SAS to Build Pharmaceutical Plant in Limassol: Project Details

Amazon SAS is starting construction of a pharmaceutical plant in Limassol after receiving approval from the Cyprus Environmental Authority. The project is estimated to cost €4 million and is scheduled to be completed in ten months from the start of construction, barring any delays.

Main characteristics of the project

Location and infrastructure

The plant will be located in the industrial area of Pentacomo-Monagrulli , on a plot of 7,852 square meters. The total construction area will be 4,405 square meters, including three levels of the building:

  1. First level. Underground parking and auxiliary premises (1,341 sq. m).
  2. Second level. Production areas for pharmaceutical products (2,109.85 sq. m).
  3. Third level: Offices and additional support areas (954 sq. m).

Parking

Total parking capacity is 50 spaces, including:

  • 4 places for people with disabilities.
  • External parking for 10 cars.
  • Additional parking on the east and west sides of the building.

Production capacity

The plant will specialize in the production of solid dosage forms, including tablets and capsules. It is planned to produce up to 35 types of drugs with an annual production volume of 40-50 million units. The annual packaging volume is about 10 million units (bottles and blister packs).

Environmental and technical aspects

The project includes strict environmental protection measures and safety standards:

  • Creation of zones for waste processing and storage (10 sq. m).
  • Organization of “green zones” with a total area of 120 sq. m.
  • Implementation of access control systems on the north and south sides of the facility.
  • Full compliance with the national legislation of Cyprus and EU regulations.

Transport accessibility

Access to the plant will be provided through:

  • Anechartisias Street , connecting the old Limassol -Nicosia road (B1);
  • the road of the industrial area of Pentakomo-Monangrulli , which connects with Panayi Street Nerophorus .

 

The Amazon SAS pharmaceutical plant will be an important step in the development of the industrial sector in Limassol , contributing to the strengthening of the economic potential of the area and the creation of new jobs. The project also demonstrates the company’s commitment to modern environmental and industrial safety standards.
