As part of efforts to modernize urban infrastructure, a working meeting was held between the Paralimni-Dherynia Municipality leadership and representatives of the Department of Urban Planning and Housing. The main agenda focused on coordinating and expediting the procedures necessary for the launch of significant projects currently in the design documentation stage.
During the discussion, the meeting participants, including the Mayor of Paralimni-Derynia, the Deputy Mayor of Frenaros, and the leadership of the Department of Urban Planning, examined the following pressing issues in detail:
- Licensing Schedules: Existing applications have been audited and specific deadlines have been established to expedite the issuance of permits.
- Infrastructure upgrades: Particular attention is paid to the development of public spaces. The goal is to create a modern, functional, and environmentally friendly urban environment.
- Improving quality of life: Projects aim to create new recreation areas and improve access to high-quality residential real estate, which collectively improves living comfort for all citizens.
The meeting reaffirmed the parties’ shared commitment to close and continuous cooperation between government agencies and local authorities. Effective communication between agencies is intended to ensure strict oversight of the implementation of strategic plans aimed at strengthening the region’s economic and social potential.
