The Municipality of Paphos is starting to build a playground in Makariou, in the heart of the shopping center.
According to the mayor of Paphos, Faidonas Faidonos, the local authorities have begun the formation of Agios Kendeas Square with the aim, he said, to make it the center of attraction in the city center. Paphos is changing, Mr. Thedonos said, noting that the park will include a meeting place and playground. Also, he continued, trees will be planted.
It is noted that the municipality of Paphos is embarking on three major regeneration projects with a total expenditure budget of 9 million euros plus VAT. These are projects for the reconstruction of the traditional core of Anavargo and the southern part of the commercial traditional center of Paphos with a budget of 5.4 million euros plus VAT and a duration of 12 months.
The specific redevelopment includes a double redevelopment of the Anavargos core along with Vasilikon Street, the western shopping center which is an area despite the offices of Pafilia – PEO and AKEL, Gladstonos Street at the lights of the former police station to the lights with the contribution of Nikodimou Mills and the existing post office.
