Keytree plans for the near future Ltd construction and operation of a mixed development in the municipality of Sotiras of the Free City of Famagusta and near the marina of Ayia Napa , which will include, among other things, a five-star hotel with 25 floors, as well as a clinic.
The proposed development is under public discussion and is an ambitious project that will be developed on land plots with a total area of 60,040 m2, and the cost of its implementation is 170 million euros .
What will it include?
The project will consist of a 25-storey hotel block and a four-storey clinic. The capacity of the hotel will be 261 rooms and 522 beds, while the capacity of the hospital will be 86 beds, of which six are intensive care beds.
In addition, the proposed mixed-use complex will include restaurants, swimming pools, a fitness center, a spa center, shops, conference rooms, a clinic, a first aid department, multidisciplinary departments, MRI and computed tomography , and more.
The project will also have a total of 781 parking spaces, 57 of which are for the disabled, and 163 parking spaces will be available for public use.
The proposed development will also include public green spaces with a total area of 8,741 sqm , while plazas and gardens will be built with a total area of 9,910 sqm .
The land to be allocated for public use will be approximately 34% of the total area of the study sites.
It is noted that part of the proposed development sites fall within the Natura 2000 network zone and, according to the Environmental Study, no structures will be erected in this area.
The purpose of the proposed development
According to the Environmental Impact Assessment submitted by the developer ( Keytree Ltd ) to the Department of the Environment, the proposed development aims to improve the standard of living in the wider area by providing high standards of medical care and care.
At the same time, the project aims to attract quality medical tourism to Cyprus, as well as to enrich and improve tourism free Famagusta , providing visitors with luxurious accommodation, well-being, local gastronomy and entertainment.
Where is the project located?
The location of the project under consideration is within the administrative boundaries of the municipality of Sotiras ( Famagusta ) and in particular in the area of Agia Thekla.
In addition, Ayia Napa Port is located 7.5 km west of the proposed project site, the planned Paralimni Marina is 13 km southwest and Famagusta General Hospital is 15 km southwest.
